This piece was inspired by the prologue of Ralph Ellison's novel, Invisible Man. Using granular synthesis, it explores the timbre of a single note sounded by a trumpet.

This was largely improvised using two max/msp patches. The first generates midi notes algorithmicly and the second uses granular synthesis.
